ABout MIcheal Cosgrove
For his entire adult life, Michael Cosgrove has loved sailing. He learned to sail on a small, two-person boat on Lake Lansing in Michigan, then gradually bought bigger boats over the years. Once he moved to southern California, he often took his family for day sails out to Catalina Island (26 miles offshore), but he never sailed beyond that island. Until now.
CROSSING THE SLEEPING GIANT is his first book-length work, but he has spent a lifetime pursuing creative expression. As an avocation, he works as a model and an actor for print and television. He has been hired by a wide variety of national corporations, including Disneyland, Bank of America, Ford Motor Company, and dozens more. Most recently, he performed in a skit that aired on the Jay Leno Show. He has worked with the same Hollywood agent at the CESD Agency for over 25 years. By day, he works as an insurance agent.
Michael and his wife Sally divide their time between Irvine, CA and a summer home on an inland lake in northern Michigan with their 9 grandchildren.
